GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE

The aim of the foundation and operation of the company is to organize, promote and develop the drama education, to provide the possibility to new creators and artists (directors, stage-designers, writers, musicians, actors etc.) to develop their activities around the drama art, the creation in general of theatrical structure, the improvement of the level of provided drama and artistic education in all levels, the support and strengthening of the artistic life of the area in order to create the possibilities for a total cultural flourishing and development, the activation of the man power of the area with their participation in the processes for the drama and cultural development and finally the implementation of performances and other events.

The Municipal Theatre of Rhodes was founded in 1985, while in 1990 it took the form of the Municipal Regional Theatre of Rhodes and is housed in the National Theatre of our city, which is funded by the Municipality of Rhodes and the Ministry of Culture.

The creation of DI.PE.THE. in this frontier area of Greece, the Dodecanese, has the aim to bring the drama art closer to people and to make people embrace these efforts. Therefore, we are trying to create the suitable conditions and ensure the funds that will provide us the possibility to barnstorm more often to all fourteen islands of the Dodecanese, from the smallest to the biggest.
