Aims & Goals of the Handicraft Centre of Rhodes

The Urban non Profit Organisation "Handicraft Centre of Rhodes" was founded in order to be the "Pilot Model workshop of art and craft industry" aiming at:

• Supporting the modernization and development of the small-scale enterprisesʼ production methods of the handicraft sector.
• Upgrading and improving the already made products, as well as creating new types of products.
• Supporting the promotion, distribution and trade of handicraft products of the Dodecanese Region.
• Providing the technical and artwork support to craftsmen and handicraft enterprises.
• Organizing National and International Seminars and Meetings, inviting experts of the field.
• Absorbing and utilizing financial support provided by National, European and International Organizations for the implementation of programmes that fulfill the aims of the Centre.
• Helping with the appropriate ways and methods the solution of particular problems that craftsmen of the Dodecanese are facing.

Local Authorities (T.E.D.K.D.)
