The main occupation is to host children of the first grade of primary school to the third grade of junior high school. It is administered by a seven-member council which consists of: three members of the Municipality of Rhodes, two members of the Municipality of Kamiros, one member of the Local Union of Local Authorities of the Dodecanese and an independent member from the public.

The criteria for a child to participate as a camper to "Prophet Elias" for the summer are the following:

1. The school reports of the children.
2. Their Personal Health Booklet.
3. Fee:
   • For one child €100
   • For every second child of the same family €70.

It is worth noting that all the above are valid only for the children originating from the Municipalities of Rhodes and Kamiros. The fee for children originating from other Municipalities, which do not participate in the camp programme, is €300.
