General Description of the Service
- It takes care of the ordinary and scheduled implementation of the works and the conservation of greenery in the City by means of all necessary actions and works.
- It takes care of the cleanness in the parks.
- It drafts studies and supervises the implementation of works that relate to the plants and animals in the administrative limits of the City, the creation and expansion of greenhouses and seedbeds.
- It takes care of the good quality of life and reproduction of the deer and wild goats that live in the Rodini.
- It takes care of the natatorial birds (ducks – swans), as well as of the fish that live in the small lakes of the Rodini park.
- It cooperates with the Animal-loving Organisation for the proper operation of the kennels.
- It cooperates with the Fire Brigade and the Forest Inspection for the prevention and putting out of fires
