General Description of the Service

The "George Gennimatas" K.E.K. of the Prefecture of the Dodecanese operates since 1995 and is certified by the National Accreditation Centre for Continuing Vocational Training (EKEPIS) in all fields. It constitutes the only self-administrating KEK in the Prefecture of the Dodecanese, since the administration partners are the City of Rhodes, the Prefecture of the Dodecanese, the Local Authorities of the Dodecanese and the "Proodos" Company S.A., which belongs to the Prefecture of the Dodecanese. It is actively involved in the field of the continuing vocational training of adults, while at the same time it undertakes researches and studies on issues of development and management of human resources, and participates in the realization of the European Unionʼs initiatives and completed training projects.

Its main Administration offices are housed at the Rodini Park and its branch is housed in the premises of the Handicraft Centre of Rhodes. The modern building premises fulfill the European specifications for the operation of training centers, while they also cover the technical specifications in order to be accessible for disabled people.
