GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE

The aims of the company's establishment and operation are:

1. The collection of garbage in the City of Rhodes.
2. The cleaning and disinfection of the common places of the City of Rhodes.
3. The cleaning of the buildings that host services and organizations of the Municipality of Rhodes.
4. The cleaning of the common lavatories of the City of Rhodes.
5. The reception of waste of the City of Rhodes in the appropriate places of waste disposal and their further processing.
6. The maintenance and operation of the places of waste reception and disposal.
7. The undertaking of the abovementioned works and services for other organizations of the public sector, local authorities and region councils according to agreements or other legal assignments.
8. The undertaking of initiatives and development of activities for the protection of the natural and urban environment.
9. The implementation of programmes of environmental sensitization independently or in cooperation with organizations of the city of Rhodes.
10. The implementation of scientific works on the waste management and the environment, and its participation on relevant programmes and initiatives (national, international or of the European Union or in cooperation with other organizations).
11. Any other activity relevant to the waste management and the environment.
