Judo

Judo has a 30 year history on the island of Rhodes. Today, four clubs develop the sport and there are distinguished Rhodian athletes, both at national and international level.

National and international tournaments, with the participation of athletes from the Balkan and Meditteranean countries are organized frequently on the island and local athletes are often amongst the medal winners.

Ziu-Zitsu

Ziu-Zitsu has become widespread in Greece, and very popular on the island of Rhodes. Since 1990, five clubs have been formed and at National Championship level several distinctions have been awarded, particularly at youth level.

All the necessary equipment such as mattresses, result tables and scales are available for training. There are four suitable indoor halls for matches and training.
  • The Venentoklio Indoor Hall and the Diagoras Indoor Hall, in the city of Rhodes.
  • The Indoor Hall of Ialyssos, in the Municipality of Ialyssos
  • The Indoor Hall of Kremasti, in the Municipality of Petaloudon.
All have wooden floors, changing rooms air conditioning, WC, and refreshment areas. Nearby, all the facilities have hotels and various categories, restaurants, shops, sightseeing and organized beaches.

Tae Kwon Do

Since 1980, it has developed significantly in Rhodes. At national level, two clubs promote the sport with very good results.

There are two courts that meet the standards for Tae Kwon Do training and games. They belong to the Tae Kwon Do clubs and are equipped with special floors and all the necessary facilities. Both are located in the city of Rhodes.
