	31/07/2008 - 31/07/2008 The equipment of Rhodes Island Games 2007 passed to RIGA The Organizing Committee of the Natwest XII Island Games Rhodes 2007 announced that after completing its windup passed the ownership of all the equipment used in last year's games to the Rhodes Island Games Association, a sport heritage that will contribute to sports development in Rhodes in general, and to the advancement of sports tourism more specifically.
	22/07/2008 - 22/07/2008 «Aegean Regatta 2008» full program Organized by the Ministry of Mercantile Marine, Aegean and Island Policy (General Secretariat of the Aegean and Island Policy) in co-operation with the Hellenic Yachting Federation / Hellenic Offshore Committee (H.Y.F / H.O.C.) and, for the 2008, the following Clubs: Nautical Club of Chios, Aegean Athletic Club, Nautical Club of Samos, Offshore Racing Club of Lesvos and coordinator the Offshore Yachting Club of Rhodes.

	08/05/2008 - 08/05/2008 1st «Panagiotis Vakontios» Volley-ball Tournament The Local Volley-Ball Committee decided to organize a tournament in memory of Panagiotis Vakontios, loved player and coach. The tournament is co-organized by Diagoras Sports Club and will be held every year on March 7th, with the exception of the 1st to be held next Saturday, May 10th. The Rhodes Association of Island Games is contributing to the organization as well.

	27/03/2008 - 27/03/2008 Rhodes getting prepared for Aland Island Games With the XIII NatWest Island Games Aland 2009 closing, Rhodes Island Games Association is about to choose its Representatives on each Sport and the new members of the Boards, constituted by representatives of all the Municipalities of the Island, in order to proceed with the schedule and preparation of the Rhodes for the next two years.
	06/02/2008 - 06/02/2008 Island Games Association becomes a member of WADA The Executive Committee of the International Island Games Association (IGA) convened for its last session for 2007 in the Isle of Man, where the games were launched in 1985 and repeated in 2001. During the session the IGA signed an accord with WADA, the World Anti-Dopping Association, which obliges IGA to support and promote the cause of WADA.
	05/10/2007 - 05/10/2007 Rhodes Triathlon World Cup: A significant event Athletes from 39 countries all over the world will participate to the Triathlon World Cup of Rhodes, to be held next Sunday, October 7th, 2007.
	12/06/2007 - 12/06/2007 Presail of the tickets for the Opening Ceremony of Island Games started The great festivity of Sports starts with a great Opening Ceremony, on Saturday, June 30, at 20:00 at the Ancient Stadium of Rhodes.
