Interactive program for children by the Writers and Translators Center
The International Writers and Translators Center, hosts a season program, titled "Christmas with tales, games and candies", addressed to students of kindergarden and elementary schools. Cultural Organization of the Municipality of Rhodes prepares for Christmas
This Christmas period will be highlighted once more by the events and celebrations prepared by the Cultural Organization of the Municipality of Rhodes. With various events spread all over the commercial center of Rhodes, including street performances, great concerts and many surprises, the Municipality hopes to provide with events for every age group, without forgeting the neighbourhoods of the city, which will receive their share of the festivities. «Autumn of Art 2008» comes to an end with its 4th exhibition
The fourth and final painting exhibition of "Autumn of Art 2008" opened last Tuesday at Kozas Gallery, closing a series of four exhibitions by Kozas Gallery under the auspices of the Cultural Organization of the Municipality of Rhodes and the Organization of Cultural Development of the Prefecture of the Dodecanese. The exhibition includes works of Angelos Spartalis and is titled "Portraits". The exhibition will be open to the public till November 30th.

«Aesop's Animals» to be presented on November 30th
A theatrical production by Rhodes Regional Theatre is to open on November 30th. Written for kids and adults, Foteini Terranova's "Aesop's Animals" is an inovative play with lots of dance and music based on the infamous Aesop's Fables.

Acclaimed writer Nikos Kasdaglis honored by the University of the Aegean
The acclaimed Rhodian writer, Nikos Kasdaglis, one of the most significant Greek writers, with rich works and international references, was proclaimed Honorary Doctor of the Education Department of the University of the Aegean, in honor of his contribution to Greek culture, in an official ceremony held last Wednesday, November 5th, at the University of the Aegean.

Rhodes candidate for the European Blind Athletics Championship
The Sports Union for people with disabilities «Dodecanisos» filed to International Blind Sports Association its candidacy for Rhodes to host the European Blind Athletic Championship. In cooperation of the Hellenic Federation of Sports of people with disabilities and with support of the local authorities, the candidacy is strengthened by the experience gained from organizing Rhodes Island Games 2007, as long as by the contribution of Paralympic Medalist Thanassis Mparakas.
