	05/06/2009 - 05/06/2009 Film Festival on Mental Health The Society for the Development of Social Services for the Mental Health of Children and Adults «Panacea» invites you at the Film Festival on Mental Health, July 6-12, 2009. Every night, at 21:00, at the Openair Cinema Theatre "Rodon", a film around a hot mental health related topic will be screened. Before any film information clips will also get screened, while the area will also hold a photo exhibition. Entrance free.
	05/06/2009 - 05/06/2009 Chess in the Medieval Town The Rhodes Chess Club "Knight" invites you, in the framework of the Medieval Festival of Rhodes, free open contest of quick chess among opponents of all ages and skills, at Saint Anthony Gate (just outside the Palace of the Grand Magister. The contest will take place June 19-21, 17:00-21:00. Parallel to the contest, a artistic chess contest will take place, while classes will be held to offer those willing the opportunity to learn more about chess.
	29/05/2009 - 29/05/2009 City Council honoured Philippos Tsalahouris During an emotionally moving ceremony, the City Council honoured on Thursday, May 19th, the Rhodian composer Philippos Tsalahouris, awarding him the silver medal of the City.
	29/05/2009 - 29/05/2009 IRIS 2009 Opening Ceremony to be held on June 7th The IBSA Open European Championships in Athletics "Iris 2009", which takes place in Rhodes, June 4-14th, will have its opening ceremony on Sunday, June 7th, at 20:00, at the Medieval Moat Theatre «Melina Merkouri».
	29/05/2009 - 29/05/2009 The maskot for IBSA Open European Championships in Athletics revieled The IBSA Open European Championships in Athletics adopted as its maskot, Champy the donkey. The donkey as an animal is strictly connected to the history and customs of Rhodes. His name refers to "Champion", as well as an abbreviated version of "Tsambikos", a popular name in Rhodes.
	29/05/2009 - 29/05/2009 Flower Festival 2009 The annual meeting for the celebration of Spring and Flowers takes place this very weekend. It starts tonight with a music event at the Rodini Park and continues tommorow with the opening at 18:00 and a flower-related products exhibition (at Mandraki Area, next to Aktaion) to peak on Sunday with the grand parade with two philarmonic orchestras and 23 groups and chariots, at 18:00, along the Mandraki avenue.
	29/05/2009 - 29/05/2009 Sword fighting and re-eenactment workshop by Medieval Rose In order to enrich and realise the planning for the Medieval Festival set to take place June 19-21 in Medieval Town, the organizers, aka Medieval Rose, created a special workshop for all those who wish to take an active part to the Festival to be trained in sword fighting and the medieval ways.
	17/05/2009 - 17/05/2009 Music events with greek songs from the 40s, 50s and 60s The Theatre Workshop of the Regional Theatre of Rhodes presents on May 16 and 17, at 20:00 a musical event at the "Thermai Hotel" lobby (Aleksandrou Diakou).
	15/05/2009 - 15/05/2009 Translation workshop-English language. The translator-translator scholar and Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Mr. David Connolly will lead a Greek-English translation workshop at the facilities of I.W.T.C.R. (10a, A. Laskou street, Monte Smith). The duration of the workshop is 8 hours (23-24 May 2009).
